The first person to propose the idea of Father’s Day was Mrs. Dodd in 1906. She wanted a special day to honor her father, whose wife passed away many years ago. At first, Mrs. Dodd wanted Father’s Day to be celebrated on her father’s birthday, but later President Johnson signed a paper to declare the third Sunday of June was Father’s Day. Since then, it became an international day. It is not only to honor one’s father, but also the fathers of all the people.

A Visit to the National Palace Museum
Recently I spent over three hours looking, reading and enjoying the exhibits at the National Palace Museum located in the suburbs. Many local and foreign visitors go there daily to take pictures outside and spend endless hours inside. No cameras are allowed inside, but you can buy you can buy colored slides of the exhibits in the gift shop downstairs. There is a very large collection of beautiful jades. Also, there is an ancient bronze vessel exhibit. Some of the exhibits are changed regularly for special collections such as porcelain and silk paintings. My attention was mainly in the room with the wall-size slide show describing some archeological discoveries from pre-history tine. Also, the oracle bones' exhibit was very good; there seemed to be an endless amount of rare, beautiful, interesting, and fascinating things.

人們常說(shuō)教無(wú)定法，但是教學(xué)還是應(yīng)該有一些有效的方法來(lái)支撐，來(lái)指導(dǎo)學(xué)生，是學(xué)生通過(guò)教師的指導(dǎo)，引導(dǎo)能獨(dú)立進(jìn)行完成學(xué)習(xí)。教無(wú)定法，但是也不能毫無(wú)章法，一定要有方法，用有效的方法指導(dǎo)我們的教學(xué)實(shí)踐。
從教四年多，對(duì)于英語(yǔ)作文教學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō)，一直都是自己的弱點(diǎn)，而且也沒(méi)有有效的方法來(lái)指導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行寫(xiě)作，在教學(xué)中總感覺(jué)，不是學(xué)生不會(huì)寫(xiě)作文，不是不會(huì)用英語(yǔ)來(lái)表達(dá)自己的作文句子，而是學(xué)生沒(méi)有思維，不能發(fā)散自己的思維，給出作文題目，在大腦里沒(méi)有想法，不知道寫(xiě)什么，更不知道從何下手。而通過(guò)最近的學(xué)習(xí)，聽(tīng)有經(jīng)驗(yàn)，經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的教授和教學(xué)能手老師的講座，才知道自己的作文教學(xué)中從在許多的弊端，不是學(xué)生不會(huì)發(fā)散思維，不是學(xué)生沒(méi)有想法，也不是學(xué)生不會(huì)寫(xiě)作文，是我沒(méi)有設(shè)計(jì)好作文教學(xué)，沒(méi)有給學(xué)生提供思路，沒(méi)有給學(xué)生打開(kāi)思路，沒(méi)有給學(xué)生提供發(fā)散思維的基礎(chǔ)，從而完成學(xué)生寫(xiě)作沒(méi)思路，不知道寫(xiě)什么。
這幾天的講座，有好幾位老師都提到了英語(yǔ)作文教學(xué)，而且講解了英語(yǔ)作文寫(xiě)作的模式和方法，從而我明白了過(guò)程性寫(xiě)作的重要性，學(xué)生作文的寫(xiě)作必須在我們可以監(jiān)控的范圍內(nèi)進(jìn)行，而且初中作文一般情況寫(xiě)才用三段式的模式進(jìn)行寫(xiě)作，而且最重要的是，讓學(xué)生寫(xiě)作文，教師一定要設(shè)計(jì)好心淡學(xué)生，啟發(fā)學(xué)生寫(xiě)作的每一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)，從而為學(xué)生提供寫(xiě)作思路，提供寫(xiě)作方法，使學(xué)生會(huì)寫(xiě)同類(lèi)型作文。
因此，聽(tīng)了這些老師的講座感覺(jué)自己真的`是在作文教學(xué)中“教無(wú)定法”。同時(shí)感覺(jué)自己很幸運(yùn)有本次學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì)，聽(tīng)到經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的老師的教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，學(xué)習(xí)借鑒他們的教學(xué)方法。我更希望自己能將這些方法運(yùn)用到自己的教學(xué)中，摸索出適合自己的教學(xué)方法，不斷提高自己的教學(xué)。
