有一天，爸爸收到一份廣告，上面說人才中心要舉辦艾斯通英語培訓(xùn)班，由老外任教。3月13日，老外在人才中心上公開課，那天上午，爸爸征求了我的意見后，帶著我去聽公開課。
上課了，進(jìn)來了兩個(gè)女老師。爸爸告訴我，那個(gè)金發(fā)碧眼個(gè)子很高的便是老外，旁邊那個(gè)是中國老師，她是老外的`助教，在課堂教學(xué)中幫助老外和我們溝通。老外不會(huì)說中文，她首先用英語作了自我介紹，接著教我們每個(gè)人都用英語說“mynameis……”。那天老外上課的主要內(nèi)容是人的五官和身體的主要部位，她將這些單詞用圖形掛在黑板上，并要求我們每個(gè)人走到講臺(tái)上和她一起邊做動(dòng)作邊讀。開始，我有些讀音發(fā)不準(zhǔn)，但老外一點(diǎn)都不煩，她耐心地教我很多遍，直到我讀準(zhǔn)確為止。當(dāng)同學(xué)們讀會(huì)這些單詞后，老外把我們?nèi)冀械街v臺(tái)上，圍成一個(gè)圈，由她指著自己身體的部位讀，如果對(duì)了，我們也用手指著自己身體同樣的部位跟著讀；如果錯(cuò)了，看我們誰反應(yīng)快，糾正老外的“錯(cuò)誤”。這個(gè)游戲很好玩，同學(xué)們都踴躍參與，課堂氣氛很濃。游戲結(jié)束后，老外還興致勃勃地教我們學(xué)唱英文歌……
老外教英語，真是有趣，她的公開課讓我對(duì)英語好象有了點(diǎn)興趣。老外的名字叫瑪麗婭，一個(gè)澳大利亞人，跟她學(xué)英語我很快樂。

今年暑假，我報(bào)名參加了全省少兒英語朗誦電視表演大賽。有三千多人參賽。比賽分為四個(gè)組別，分別是：幼兒組、小學(xué)A組（我參加的組別）、小學(xué)B組、中學(xué)組。分初賽、復(fù)賽、半決賽、決賽四個(gè)賽程。競(jìng)爭(zhēng)很激烈，從三千人中最后決出四十名選手進(jìn)入決賽。
我抱著試試看的心情參加了比賽，想練練膽子，希望能提高自己的英語水平。初賽的時(shí)候，我有些緊張，自我介紹的時(shí)候都卡殼了，不過幸好我的英語歌曲唱得不錯(cuò)，順利過關(guān)，進(jìn)入復(fù)賽。
復(fù)賽的時(shí)候，我的心情不那么緊張了，并且增加了一個(gè)Story time的才藝展示。幾天后，接到了參加半決賽的通知。
半決賽在杭州濱江區(qū)的.浙江藝術(shù)職業(yè)學(xué)院的演播廳舉行。按規(guī)定，每個(gè)組別是20人參加，但是由于競(jìng)爭(zhēng)很激烈，我們組有25人參賽，要選出10人參加決賽，比別的組更艱難。結(jié)果我發(fā)揮較為出色，殺入了決賽。哇，好高興！
一周后，決賽開始。評(píng)委也增加到了9個(gè)。比賽分為4個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)：自我介紹、才藝展示 、即興演講和評(píng)委提問，要求也更加嚴(yán)格，超過時(shí)間就會(huì)被卡斷。我抽到最后一個(gè)出場(chǎng)，由于還是有些緊張，居然漏了一項(xiàng)才藝表演。不過其他都發(fā)揮正常。
經(jīng)過2個(gè)多小時(shí)的比賽和評(píng)委的認(rèn)真評(píng)選，獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)正式開出，我獲得了這次全省第二屆少兒英語朗誦電視大賽小學(xué)A組的銅獎(jiǎng)。哈哈，真沒想到！通過這次比賽，我得到了鍛煉，開闊了眼界，也提高了學(xué)好英語的興趣。正像老師說的那樣，重要的不是結(jié)果，是參與比賽的過程！
