working attitude and ability. during the years in our lab, he was mainly responsible for the interior design and acoustic model test of xxx theater. as a student majored in architecture, he lacked the skills of such physical experiment at first. but i found that as soon as he was assigned this task, he began to study assiduously for relevant knowledge and read many references. thus he mastered the skill of the experiment in a short time and can even install and debug the whole set of equipment himself. these equipment
included some sophisticated acoustic instruments and data processing programs. in the spring of 1998, his instructor, also his experiment director, had to go to japan for academic event. in the next half year, he finished the whole experiment
independently, including the reverberation time measurement and the pulse response measurement. the result was soon used to direct the interior design of the theater. also should be mentioned is that from the beginning of the experiment, he took part in it enthusiastically and positively. he helped the layout of the model and made more than 400 exquisite model chairs by hand. all these clearly demonstrate that he has the ability of solving problems effectively, working independently and has organized manner in approaching
problems. mr. x is a student eager to learn. in order to acquire more knowledge, he began to study japanese, for many architecture books and journals are published in japan. in one year, he passed the level 3 of the japanese language proficiency test with a high score. recently i heard that he has also got excellent record in gre test.
i believe that he would have no trouble in studying abroad. when he told me he was planning for further research in u.s.a, i encouraged him. his talent and ability would ensure him to do outstanding works. i can state unequivocally that he will be well qualified for graduate studies in your group. i

很多人都知道一封有質(zhì)量的推薦信所產(chǎn)生的效果非常大,但是很多中國(guó)申請(qǐng)者,卻不在意這份推薦信的能量,訪問(wèn)學(xué)者網(wǎng)資深訪問(wèn)學(xué)者專家鄭美子老師告訴大家,有關(guān)推薦信的幾個(gè)問(wèn)題,希望能幫助大家更好地利用推薦信這一份容易被忽視的資源。
第一、先要弄清楚,申請(qǐng)?jiān)L問(wèn)學(xué)者是否需要推薦信。
前文講過(guò),有一部分歐美國(guó)家的導(dǎo)師在審核申請(qǐng)者資料時(shí)候,需要一份推薦信,但是有一部分學(xué)校導(dǎo)師是不需要的,所以申請(qǐng)者先要弄清楚,你所申請(qǐng)的學(xué)校、導(dǎo)師到底需不需要推薦信。
第二、申請(qǐng)國(guó)外訪問(wèn)學(xué)者,很多老師都愿意幫你寫
在訪問(wèn)學(xué)者網(wǎng)接觸的一些申請(qǐng)者中,發(fā)現(xiàn)很多導(dǎo)師都需要推薦信,而很多人卻要向不同的學(xué)校發(fā)套詞信,這樣的話,就需要很多推薦信,對(duì)于不同申請(qǐng)學(xué)校,推薦信也就不同,這時(shí)候你要和你的老師進(jìn)行商榷,希望他能在你需要推薦信的時(shí)候多寫一些,一般情況下,他會(huì)幫助你的。
第三、申請(qǐng)信的質(zhì)量,是起作用的關(guān)鍵
因?yàn)槊绹?guó)一些導(dǎo)師每年與不同的中國(guó)學(xué)生接觸,已經(jīng)了解到,中國(guó)學(xué)生的推薦信含金量太低,所以很多都不起作用,在同等條件下,如果一位中國(guó)學(xué)生和一位其他國(guó)家的學(xué)生同樣拿著推薦信的話,外國(guó)導(dǎo)師很多時(shí)候會(huì)傾向與外國(guó)學(xué)生,就是一份有價(jià)值的推薦信起的作用,但也不是說(shuō)中國(guó)就沒(méi)有可以開(kāi)出有價(jià)值推薦信的地方。
第四、推薦信是與外導(dǎo)的直接對(duì)話
很多人申請(qǐng)者,在被要求推薦信之后,也會(huì)努力去辦,但是在請(qǐng)求國(guó)內(nèi)導(dǎo)師寫好推薦信后會(huì)自己進(jìn)行修改,這樣做是不對(duì)的,因?yàn)榇蠖鄶?shù)情況下,推薦信是不經(jīng)過(guò)申請(qǐng)者而直接到達(dá)國(guó)外導(dǎo)師那里,這樣一份推薦信才見(jiàn)可信度。
