　　After having been involved in an accident, you were lookedafter by another person. Write a special letter to express your thanks. (感謝信)

　　Dear Sue,

　　I am writing to express my heart felt gratitude to you foryour kindest help when I was involved in that terrible traffic accident.

　　親愛的Sue:

　　我寫信的目的是衷心感謝你在我遭遇那場可怕的交通事故時所給予我的最善意的幫助。

　　You saw how seriously I had been hurt when you rushed me tothe hospital. I was hit from the back by a taxi and was thrown forward for atleast three meters. Though I did not lose my consciousness, the sharp pain wasreally killing me. If it had not been for your timely assistance, giving mefirst aid and sent me to hospital right away, I fear that the consequences mighthave been much more serious.

　　在你將我匆忙送往醫(yī)院時已經(jīng)看到了我傷得有多重。我被一輛出租車從背后撞上，向前拋出至少三米遠。雖然我沒有失去知覺，但那劇烈的疼痛確實難忍。如果不是你及時的協(xié)助，給我實施急救，并將我馬上送往醫(yī)院的話，我擔心后果將會更為嚴重。

　　The doctor said that my wounds are healing quickly and thatI would be able to stand up again in a week’s time. In addition, the taxicompany has agreed to pay my hospital bills.

　　醫(yī)生說我傷口愈合得很快，一周后便可再次站立起來。此外，出租汽車公司已同意支付我的醫(yī)療費用。

　　Anyway, everyone agrees that it was your quick-wittedresponse in this emergency that has led to this satisfactory result. I feel Iowe you so much, so please accept my most sincere thanks.

　　不管怎么說，大家都認為：是你在緊急情況下的機智反應(yīng)才有了目前這一良好的結(jié)果。我深感欠你太多，因此，請接受我最真誠的謝意。
